Measure Matcha Like The Tea Masters Do
The chashaku makes measuring matcha simple and consistent:
- Scoop directly from your tin — one level scoop holds roughly 1g of matcha
- Use 1–2 scoops per bowl depending on how strong you like it
- Sift into your bowl to break up any clumps before whisking
- Tap off any excess powder before setting it down
Because it's left untreated, this chashaku needs dry care only:
- Never wash with water — moisture can crack or warp the bamboo
- Gently tap off excess powder and wipe clean with a dry cloth
- Store in a cool, dry place, laid flat or upright with your tea set
- Keep away from direct heat and humidity to preserve its natural finish

Ashish, our founder or Mr. Matcha as the team lovingly calls him, discovered the Japanese superfood back in 2018 and fell in love with it.
